Creating something new…

Rick Rubin is a pioneer in the music industry.
Johnny Cash, Adele, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Linkin Park, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran… 🎙🎶
The list of big names he has produced, or used to produce, is long.
The bizarre thing?
By his own admission, he doesn’t know how to do any of it.
So how did he become one of the most influential people in the music industry?
How can he be so creative? 🤔
👇 Here’s what he has to say about it:
“I don’t really know anything about music.
…I just did things out of the love of them.
…all we can do is do our best, make something good and hope for the best.”
He also says: create for yourself. 🧠
“People will resonate with it if that’s how it’s meant to be.”
About collaboration, he says: 🤝
“Forcing your idea through isn’t collaboration.
…If you’re truly committed to the collaborative process, you listen and implement good ideas…
Especially if they come from others.”
He also adds:
“Listen to what’s happening around you! 🙉
You can pick up on things you never thought of before.
Find inspiration to do something entirely different from what already exists.”
He talks about how sometimes it’s simply “the right time for a new idea.”
That there are signals around us indicating:
It’s time for a change. ⏰
Have you ever experienced something like that?
A fleeting conversation, a different perspective on things, leading you to do something differently?
Does it feel like the right moment for you to approach your life in a different way?
Would you like a partner who supports you in this?
I’m here for you.
