“It is either self-judgement, or fear of outside judgement” - Rick Rubin

Now that the workweek is ending, we close the door behind us at home and head into the weekend. It’s a good time for reflection:
🤔 Is something nagging at you?
🧐 Are there cases at work that still haunt you?
🤔 Are there conflicts, arguments, or disagreements lingering unspoken in the air?
If not, I wish you a great weekend to recharge. 🔆
If so: take a deep breath in, and out, and
🔸 Perhaps you avoided the discussion.
🔹 Or there was an undesirable outcome, and communication with the client didn’t go as you’d hoped.
🔸 Maybe emotions took over at the time..?
That’s possible.
You can’t act or communicate perfectly 100% of the time. No, not even me…
But take the time to consider if, and how, you’re going to address it.
(Hint: the fact that you’re taking it home might already be a sign…)
🔺 Don’t let it simmer.
🔺 Don’t let it grow larger and larger in your mind.
🔺 With each (over)analysis, you increase the risk of making assumptions.
Then:
“Colleague X took over that urgent patient without asking for my input…”
…quickly becomes:
“…because they probably think I’d get it wrong.”
Oops.
Have a nice weekend.
And here’s to a good start to the coming week!
Could you use some support with the above?
